How to enable “Install apps from unknown sources” In firestick/FireTV?

To install APKs via the Downloader app, you’ll need to allow FireStick/FireTV to install apps from unknown or third-party sources as the default setting on Fire devices doesn’t allow users to install third-party apps as a security measure. Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Launch your FireStick home screen and go to the Settings icon.

Step 2: Scroll down to the last and click on My Fire TV tile.

Step 3: Then Click on Developer Options. If you do not see it, go to step 5

Step 4: Select Install unknown apps.

Note: Some versions of FireStick may have the option Apps from Unknown Sources instead of Install unknown apps, then select Apps from Unknown Sources, and turn it ON.

Step 5: If you do not see the Developer Options menu, Click on About

Step 6: On the “About” page, select the first item (which is your Fire TV device’s name) quickly 7 times.

You will see a notification at the bottom saying No need, you are already a developer. That’s it, you have enabled Developer Options.

Step 7: Press the back button now you will see Developer Option click on it and then select install apps from unknown source. as shown in steps 3 and 4

How to Install Downloader app on Firestick/TV?

Follow the below steps to download and install Downloader app.

Step 1: Go to the home screen of the Fire TV / Stick

Step 2: Find (Magnifying glass icon) Search on the menu bar in the middle of the screen.

Step 3: Now type in Downloader using the onscreen keypad. You should see the app suggestions on the list as you begin typing. When you see Downloader on the list, select and click it.

Step 4: You should now see Downloader app under the APPS & GAMES section. Go ahead and click it.

Step 5: Click the ‘Get‘ or ‘Download‘ button to download and install the app.

Step 6: Open the downloader app, when you open the app for the first time, it will ask for permission to access media, photos etc. click Allow to grant permission then Click OK on this Quick Start Guide prompt.

Step 7: On the left sidebar, you should see the option Settings. Select it. and Check the box next to Enable JavaScript in Settings.

Click Yes when you see the warning message. The reason why we are enabling javascript is some websites will not download correctly in Downloader if this option remains unchecked.

Now we open the app VIBE MEDIA

Go back home and Click the appstore button

click on the App Library button

click on the Vibe Media button
